Michigan, United States
Michigan's Little Bavaria — a German-themed town on the Cass River that has been doing Christmas year-round since 1963. Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland is the world's largest Christmas store, Bavarian Inn and Zehnder's serve the same all-you-can-eat chicken dinners they have since the 1940s, and the covered bridge over the Cass River is genuinely charming. Easy day trip from Detroit or Flint, better as an overnight.
