Two days — the pier at sunset, Third Street brunch, Clam Pass kayak, and dinner on Fifth Avenue South.
Fifth Avenue South for lunch, walk the pier, and watch the sunset from the beach at the end of the pier. This is the postcard Naples moment and it delivers.
Italian-American on Fifth Avenue with a leafy outdoor patio and a wood-burning pizza oven visible from the tables. The branzino is consistently good. More casual than Bleu Provence — works for lunch or dinner.
Naples' main strip — outdoor dining, galleries, boutiques, and people-watching. More manageable than it sounds. The blocks between 3rd and 9th Street are the active zone. Good for an afternoon stroll after the pier visit.
French bistro on Third Street South — the best restaurant in Naples for a relaxed dinner that doesn't try too hard. The bouillabaisse is excellent. Book at least two weeks ahead in season (Dec–April).
The Naples Pier juts 1,000 feet into the Gulf. Standing at the end at sunset, with the water on three sides turning gold, is genuinely one of the better free experiences in Florida. Pelicans and dolphins visible most evenings. Arrive 30 minutes before sunset for a good spot.
RSW airport in Fort Myers is the main hub — 40 minutes south on I-75. Uber works from RSW but is pricey at $55–80 each way. Renting a car is more practical for any trip longer than one day.
Clam Pass County Park kayak through the mangroves in the morning, then brunch on Third Street South before checkout.
Best brunch in Naples — outdoor tables under banyan trees, fresh-squeezed juice, and a menu that does eggs a dozen ways correctly. Arrive before 10 AM to avoid the wait. Cash-friendly, not cash-only.
Kayak rental at Clam Pass — you paddle through a mangrove tunnel system to a private beach on the Gulf. Takes about 90 minutes round-trip with stops. Osprey, ibis, and the occasional manatee. ~$20/hour rental.
Parking is the one aggravation in Naples. Fifth Avenue South has metered spots and a parking garage at 8th and 5th. Third Street South has a lot at Broad Ave S. Arrive by 9 AM in season or park and walk. No garages are free.
