Land, get to the hotel, walk to the beach. This is the best beach in the Caribbean for just being in the water — do nothing your first afternoon.
Kaibo on the north shore has the best sunset view on the island — facing due west over the North Sound. The bar is casual; the view is the point. Order a Dark and Stormy.
Taxis are everywhere but metered at CI$2.50/mile — quick airport to hotel trips are fine, but they add up for a multi-day trip. Renting a car for $60–80/day makes more sense if you plan to drive east. Drive on the left.
The gold standard on Seven Mile Beach — beach access, multiple pools, a Blue Tip golf course, and a spa. The rooms facing the beach are worth the premium. Rates $500–900/night in high season.
Book a private catamaran for the day — Stingray City in the morning, snorkeling at coral gardens after lunch, sunset sail back. Cayman Catamaran Charters or Blue Tip run private full-day charters for $600–900 for two people. Worth it.
Italian-Caribbean fusion on the beach — the risotto with local lionfish is the signature. Candlelit tables on a deck over the water. One of the best meals on the island. Reserve in advance.
