Three nights — Design District hotel, a Pérez Museum date, rooftop dinners, and the kind of South Beach nightlife you actually want to remember.
Miami has Art Basel energy year-round — galleries open late, the Design District is always active, and the people-watching is excellent. Check in to the Faena or Edition, walk to dinner.
Korean steakhouse in Brickell — the best meat-focused restaurant in Miami. The Butcher's Feast prix fixe is the right move: four cuts, unlimited sides, banchan spread. Sexy space, serious beef. Reserve 2+ weeks ahead.
Surge pricing in South Beach on weekend nights can be brutal — $30–50 for a 10-minute ride. Order Uber before you leave a restaurant, not after you're standing on the sidewalk at midnight. Pool/shared options save money but add time.
The Faena on Collins is the most design-forward hotel in Miami — gold mammoth skeleton in the lobby, handpainted tile, a whale mural by Damien Hirst in the bar. The rooms are theatrical. Rates $400–800/night. The beach club is excellent.
Waterfront contemporary art museum in Museum Park. The collection is strong in Latin American and Caribbean art — appropriate context for the city. The outdoor terrace restaurant has the best view of Biscayne Bay.
If you want to experience a South Beach club, the doors open at 11 PM and it doesn't get going until 1 AM. Dinner at 8, drinks at a hotel bar until 11, club until 3. Wear something. The dress code is enforced.

The Miami Design District has De La Cruz Collection (free) — one of the best private contemporary art collections in the US open to the public. Brunch at KYU afterward. The neighborhood is walkable and worth a full morning.
Asian-inspired wood-fire kitchen in Wynwood — the smoked lamb ribs and grilled king crab are the headliners. The charred broccolini with ricotta is better than it sounds. Reservation required; books out 2–3 weeks on weekends.
